Scouts Inc. Monday, October 5, 2009 The state of Kentucky has long been known as a basketball state and there is nothing to dispel that belief, at least in the near future. However, the good news is that the number of colleges and universities in the state playing football has increased in recent years. Even though the state is not a hotbed for recruiting talent, Kentucky high schools have produced some very good players over the years.
