Saturday, October 3, 2009 BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Montreal lost center Glen Metropolit and defenseman Ryan O'Byrne to injuries in the second period against the Sabres. Metropolit was described as having an upper-body injury after he collided with Buffalo forward Patrick Kaleta. O'Byrne limped off after being hit in foot with a shot. The Canadiens announced neither would return.
