ESPN.com Wednesday, September 30, 2009 Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer needs surgery to repair three torn muscles in his groin and lower abdomen and will miss the rest of the season and postseason. Phillies team doctor Michael Ciccotti said Wednesday night that Moyer will have surgery in the next seven to 10 days. He is expected to be ready for spring training, Dr. Ciccotti said.
