Rather than make a decision on who to keep as backup goaltender, the Chicago Blackhawks just kept both Corey Crawford and Antti Niemi. Of the 24 players on the roster, 18 were part of the 2008-09 team that made it to the Western Conference finals before losing to the Detroit Red Wings.
