ESPN.com Wednesday, September 30, 2009 Only nine players remain in contention for the most prestigious title in poker: world champion. In July, 6,494 players began their main event journeys with hopes of sitting behind a pile of cash and posing for photos with a new bracelet on their wrists. Nine players still have that dream, but their journey was put on hold in July to resume on Nov. 7 in Las Vegas. The final table of the main event is full of talent.
