Tuesday, September 29, 2009 VIENNA -- Finnish Alpine skier Marcus Sandell had his left kidney removed in a hospital in Innsbruck, Austria, after badly crashing during a training run on the nearby Pitztaler glacier. According to Finnish news agency STT, the 22-year-old Sandell hurt his kidney, spleen and back and broke his nose and hand Monday after coming off the course and falling.
