Pernice wins SAS with birdie on 18

CARY, N.C. -- Tom Pernice Jr. became the 15th player to win in his Champions Tour debut, holing a 35-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday for a one-stroke victory over Nick Price and David Frost in the SAS Championship. "You don't expect to hit a 35-footer, especially on the last hole to win," Pernice said. "It was my turn to win, I guess."
