Saturday, September 26, 2009 BOSTON -- And then there were two dozen left. Prior to Saturday night's preseason finale against Columbus at the TD Garden, the Boston Bruins trimmed their roster to 24 players by making some cuts. The team has to be below the 23-man limit by 3 p.m. Wednesday. There were really no surprises among the cuts, although Boston general manager Peter Chiarelli did mention that defenseman Drew Fata played well in recent games.
