KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When Justin Morneau and his 30 home runs and 100 RBIs went out for the rest of the season with an injury, the Minnesota Twins were two games below .500 and their playoff hopes were in trouble. Michael Cuddyer stepped in for Morneau at first base and the Twins have stepped up in a playoff run. Cuddyer hit his 30th homer and walked with the bases loaded and the Twins moved within two games of first-place Detroit in the AL Central with a 9-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals ...
