Yanks' Hairston gets cortisone shots

NEW YORK -- Yankees utilityman Jerry Hairston Jr. received a cortisone injection in his left wrist. Hairston left Wednesday's game at the Los Angeles Angels midway through an at-bat because of sharp pain after feeling a little pop. He said his wrist hasn't felt right since he injured it diving for a ball this season while playing for Cincinnati. He was examined Thursday by hand specialist Dr. Melvin Rosenwasser and had an MRI, which showed tendinitis. The Yankees said he is day to day. Hairst ...
