Tuesday, September 22, 2009 PHOENIX -- Built on pitching, San Francisco has seen its starters struggle at just the wrong time. The Giants fell five games behind NL wild-card leader Colorado after a 10-8 loss to Arizona on Tuesday, when starter Matt Cain could not get out of the third inning. Cain gave up seven runs in 2 1/3 innings while losing his second straight start. No Giants starter has won since Barry Zito beat Colorado eight days ago.
