Reds catcher Hernandez activated

CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Reds have activated catcher Ramon Hernandez from the 15-day disabled list. Hernandez had arthroscopic surgery to clean out his left knee on July 21. He was hitting .249 with five homers and 36 RBIs when he was placed on the DL. Cincinnati reinstated the 33-year-old before Saturday night's game against the Florida Marlins.
