OAKLAND, Calif. -- Brett Anderson felt his slider was dominant Friday night against but it was the Oakland right-hander's slow curve that did most of the damage against Cleveland. Anderson pitched six shutout innings and had a career-high 10 strikeouts, moving him within three of the most-ever by an Athletics rookie, as Oakland stayed hot with a 2-1 win over the slumping Indians.
