MONTREAL -- Brian Gionta scored 15:06 into the third period of his Montreal debut to lead the Canadiens to a 2-1 preseason victory over the Ottawa Senators on Friday night. Ben Maxwell scored in the second period for Montreal, which beat Florida 3-2 on Thursday in its preseason opener. Milan Michalek scored in his debut for Ottawa (0-3).
