Thursday, September 17, 2009 Washington Mystics center/forward Crystal Langhorne has been named the most improved player in the WNBA, the league announced on Thursday. Langhorne received 19 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Atlanta Dream forward Sancho Lyttle was runner-up with six votes. Dream center Erika de Souza and Seattle Storm guard Tanisha Wright tied for third with four votes each. In her second season, Langhorne averaged 12 points a game up from 4.8 points last season.
