PHILADELPHIA -- Inspired by Pedro Martinez and Cliff Lee, Joe Blanton put more goose eggs on the scoreboard. Blanton tossed six scoreless innings, Jayson Werth hit a grand slam and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 6-1 on Wednesday night. Blanton (10-7) allowed five hits and struck out seven.
