Monday, September 14, 2009 According to a New York Islanders spokesman, top prospect John Tavares won't be in the lineup for the club's Monday night preseason opener against the Vancouver Canucks in Terrace, British Columbia. The first overall selection in the 2009 draft stayed back at the Isles' training camp home in Saskatoon because of illness. Tavares' debut in the NHL has been highly anticipated ever since he first broke into the Ontario Hockey League at age 14 and broke Wayne Gretzky's OHL scoring record with 72 ...
