Monday, September 14, 2009 Melanie Oudin has withdrawn from the WTA's Bell Challenge tournament in Quebec City, citing an injury to her left thigh. Oudin, the unseeded sensation of the U.S. Open, reached the quarterfinals before losing to finalist Caroline Wozniacki. The 17-year-old from Marietta, Ga., is scheduled to make TV appearances on "The Tonight Show" and "Ellen" this week and it was widely expected that she would withdraw from the $220,000 indoor hard court event that begins Monday.
