Pitt's Taglianetti out for year

Pittsburgh sophomore starting safety Andrew Taglianetti will miss the rest of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Saturday's 54-27 victory at Buffalo. Taglianetti, who established himself as a special teams ace last year, earned a starting job during fall camp at free safety. He had four tackles and a fumble recovery in Pitt's first two games.
