Friday, September 11, 2009 NEW YORK -- The moment belonged to Derek Jeter. The long, rainy night belonged to the Baltimore Orioles. Jeter broke the New York Yankees' hit record held by Lou Gehrig for more than seven decades, but Baltimore overcame an early deficit for a 10-4 victory Friday night in a game delayed twice by rain.
