Friday, September 11, 2009 Former Arizona Diamondbacks Venezuelan coordinator Miguel Nava confirms that he has spoken with the Washington Nationals about their vacant Latin American scouting director position. Nava has previously worked with new Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo in Arizona. In fact, a source said it was Rizzo who hired the Venezuelan-based Nava in Arizona, where he helped the Diamondbacks sign players such as Carlos Gonzalez, Gerardo Parra and Alberto Gonzalez.
