Lewis' deal terminated

The New England Patriots terminated the contract of veteran wide receiver Greg Lewis, one of two speed receivers the team acquired during the offseason. Lewis came to the Patriots in a trade with the Eagles in which the Patriots surrendered a fifth-round pick. Lewis and Joey Galloway were brought in to add more speed to an already explosive offense.
