Saturday, September 5, 2009 EL PASO, Texas -- Brandon Thermilius ran for 79 yards and a touchdown as Buffalo defeated UTEP 23-17 Saturday night. Buffalo (1-0), of the Mid-American Conference, scored two touchdowns in the second quarter along with a safety and built a 23-7 lead. Thermilius and Jason Williams ran for touchdowns and the Bulls recorded a safety after UTEP recovered a fumble in its own end zone.
