There were no silver spoons in Latrobe, Pa. Not in 1929, at least, and certainly not for Arnold Daniel Palmer, born Sept. 10, just seven weeks before the biggest stock market crash in history. No, Arnold was born into a blue-collar family in a blue-collar town.
