Wednesday, September 2, 2009 TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees pitcher Ian Kennedy threw batting practice for the first time since undergoing surgery in May to remove an aneurysm from below his right biceps. Kennedy threw 30 pitches on Wednesday, and is scheduled to have another batting practice session on Saturday. The 24-year-old could pitch in a two-inning simulated game on Tuesday.
