A year ago today, the Cubs and White Sox were on their way to winning their respective divisions and fans were giddy with Chicago playoff baseball on the horizon. If the two teams had faced each other last September, it would have been a media frenzy, fans would have been at each other's throats arguing as to which side rooted for the better team and we could have witnessed a true Crosstown Classic.
