Wednesday, August 26, 2009 TULSA, Okla. -- Bud Cauley made a 30-foot birdie putt on the 16th hole in a 3-and-1 victory over Rickie Fowler in the first round of the U.S. Amateur Championship on Wednesday. Fowler, who played two seasons at nearby Oklahoma State before declaring his intention to turn professional after the Walker Cup, was one of the day's big draws along with former Cowboys teammates Morgan Hoffmann and Kevin Tway.
