Tuesday, August 25, 2009 Jake Peavy may indeed be the Chicago White Sox starting pitcher on Saturday in New York. At this point in the season, the Sox are desperate for any help they can get from their fourth or fifth starters. After the Jose Contreras melt down on Monday against the Boston Red Sox, the White Sox starting pitchers are a combined 44-45 for the season with Mark Buehrle, John Danks and Gavin Floyd at 32-33 with a 3.92 ERA.
