For U.S. fans convinced Jonathan Spector should return to the starting eleven when the Americans resume World Cup qualifying Sept. 5 vs. El Salvador (8 p.m. ET, ESPN Classic), it was heartening to see the 23-year-old defender go 90 minutes for West Ham in its 2-1 loss to English Premier League leader Tottenham on Sunday.
