Monday, August 24, 2009 CALGARY -- Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Cam Ward did not take part in Monday's opening workouts at the Canadian Olympic orientation camp because of back pain. Ward, who battled back issues throughout this past NHL postseason, returned to practice Tuesday after being re-evaluated. "Really, it is a day-to-day thing," Ward told reporters Monday.
