ESPN.com Monday, August 24, 2009 Boston College quarterback David Shinskie, the 25-year-old former minor league pitcher who developed a slight edge in a very blurry quarterback competition this summer, broke his rib and is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's final two-a-day practice, a school spokesman said. Shinskie never threw a collegiate pass in a game but was becoming the Eagles' best hope at quarterback. He was injured in Sunday's scrimmage when he was tackled by defensive tackle Damik Scafe.
