Post-major golf remains relevant

The major championships are complete for the year, which to some will mean the golf season is over, too. Not so fast. Before even getting a chance to catch our breath, we've got the playoffs coming up. For those who are snickering, your chuckles are understandable. The Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship have been considered the four biggest tournaments in the game for at least 50 years, and no season-ending corporate-sponsored playoff bonanza is ever going to change that ...
