Canadian Dubois wins VanOpen title

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Stephanie Dubois became the first Canadian woman to win the Odlum Brown VanOpen, beating top-seeded Sania Mirza of India 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday. The second-seeded Dubois, from Laval, Quebec, lost to Britain's Anne Keothavong in the 2007 VanOpen final. In the men's final, third-seeded Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus beat Belgium's Xavier Malisse 6-4, 6-4.
