It's 1:45 a.m. on Sunday. I'm at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago, and some guy I've been talking to for all of three minutes asks me if I know where he can get some coke. His inquiry gives me pause, but not because I know where he can secure cocaine and I have to rifle through a mental drug-dealer Rolodex.
