Wednesday, August 5, 2009 OAKLAND, Calif. -- Athletics manager Bob Geren enjoyed watching his team's rare power surge. Adam Kennedy hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the sixth inning, one of four Oakland home runs in a 7-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night. "Adam is such an excellent player," Geren said. "He can figure when to dial it up. That's a sign of a good, experienced player."
