Bucks waive defensive stalwart Bowen

Defensive stalwart Bruce Bowen has been released by the Milwaukee Bucks and will be an unrestricted free agent next week if he clears waivers. The Bucks announced the move Friday night after their monthlong attempts to trade him -- including talks this week with the Denver Nuggets -- did not result in a deal.
