Reds' Hernandez on DL with knee injury

CINCINNATI -- The Reds placed catcher Ramon Hernandez on the 15-day disabled list Monday to treat a knee injury. Hernandez will have surgery to clean out his left knee on Tuesday. He's expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks. Hernandez, who has been bothered by the knee for about two months, is batting .249 with five homers and 36 RBIs.
