Vinciguerra beats Serra in first round

BASTAD, Sweden -- Wild-card entry Andreas Vinciguerra beat sixth-seeded Florent Serra 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4 on Monday in the first round of the Swedish Open. Teimuraz Gabashvili also won, eliminating seventh-seeded Christophe Rochus 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, and Victor Crivoi defeated Denis Istomin 6-0, 6-4.
