Saturday, July 4, 2009 David Wright, whose leadership skills were criticized by former New York Mets teammate John Franco, said he received an apology from the man who is now a special adviser to the team. On Tuesday, Franco had said during an interview on Sirius XM Radio that the Mets, then on a five-game losing streak, were in need of a leader, and that Wright needed to step up and "be that guy."
