Venegas' contract not renewed at UCLA

LOS ANGELES -- Art Venegas is out as UCLA's men's track and field coach after 10 years. The university announced his departure Thursday, one day after his contract had expired. The Bruins won a Pac-10 team championship and two West Region team titles during Venegas' tenure. They were fifth in the conference championships and seventh in the regional this season, but didn't score a point at last month's NCAA championships.
