We can't have aces trot out to the mound for us every day, and on Friday, a number of fourth and fifth starters -- or even worse, Quadruple-A pitchers -- take the ball. But that does provide an opportunity to fish for a couple of spot starters, as even those back-of-the-rotation hurlers can pick up some strikeouts and a win or two.
