Leafs sign hard-hitting Komisarek

Brian Burke may be out of the country, but that didn't keep the Maple Leafs' general manager from making a splash in the free agent market. Burke lured free agent defenseman Mike Komisarek to Toronto from the rival Canadiens with a five-year, $22.5 million deal. Komisarek is regarded as a realiable stay-at-home defensemen with a physical edge to his game. He will earn $4.5 million per year.
