ESPN.com Tuesday, June 30, 2009 The NCAA released a statement Tuesday morning denying Kelvin Sampson's appeal and affirming the penalties from the Indiana case that saddled him with unethical conduct, failure to monitor his program and to promote an atmosphere of compliance after committing similar, excessive phone violations at two NCAA institutions in succession (Oklahoma and Indiana).
