Blue Jays place catcher Barajas on DL

TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays placed catcher Rod Barajas on the 15-day disabled list Friday night after he strained right hamstring running out a single in the second inning of a 6-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Blue Jays promoted Kyle Phillips from Triple-A Las Vegas to take his place. Barajas, who came in batting .263 with seven homers and 37 RBIs, ran slowly down the line after his two-out single to center off Cole Hamels.
