Clement to coach prep basketball team

Only three years removed from throwing his last pitch as a major leaguer, Matt Clement already is on the road to a second career. The 34-year-old Clement, who won 87 games over nine seasons for the San Diego Padres, Florida Marlins, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox, was hired Monday to be the boys basketball coach at his alma mater, Butler (Pa.)
