Correia, Kouzmanoff carry Padres past A's

SAN DIEGO -- Kevin Correia picked a good time for a hot streak with the San Diego Padres' top two starters on the disabled list. Correia carried a shutout into the seventh inning and combined with three relievers on a two-hitter in the Padres' 4-1 win over the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. Correia, a sub-.500 career pitcher, retired the first 14 batters before Orlando Cabrera hit a two-out double down the right-field line in the fourth inning.
