Committee plans to discuss hits to the head, 'staged fighting' issues

LAS VEGAS -- Just a quick note on something we were told last night. The NHL's competition committee will meet next Thursday in Montreal on the eve of the entry draft. NHL Players' Association executive Glenn Healy said today there may be up to "15 items" on the meeting's agenda. The committee will also have a new face for at least one meeting: Veteran New Jersey Devils GM Lou Lamoriello will step in for Kevin Lowe as a fill-in.
