June has not been a banner month for my beloved sport of NASCAR. We've had layoffs caused by the loss of Detroit financial support, a Nationwide Series crew chief shouting racial slurs at the only African-American driver in NASCAR, and don't even bring up the Jeremy Mayfield drug testing saga.
