Ferrer defeats Galung in Ordina Open

DEN BOSCH, Netherlands -- Third-seeded David Ferrer of Spain began his title defense at the Ordina Open with a 6-2, 7-5 win Monday over wild-card entry Jesse Huta Galung. Sixth-seeded Marc Gicquel of France defeated Steve Darcis 6-2 6-3. Marcos Baghdatis' match against second-seeded Tommy Robredo was rescheduled to Tuesday because of darkness.
