Saturday, June 6, 2009 BATON ROUGE, La. -- Not a good day for Rice third baseman Anthony Rendon. First he struck out looking in the bottom of the first. Then he collided with Rick Hague while chasing down a foul ball and had to be carried off the field by two of his teammates. The crowd of over 9,000 here at Alex Box Stadium gave him a standing ovation as he was taken off. This is a devastating loss for Rice, and it's only the top of the second.
